Sculpture/Installations

Sculpting Narratives of Paradise

In my sculptures and installations, I materialize the complexities of paradise through three-dimensional forms that engage the viewer in a visceral dialogue about beauty, struggle, and identity. These works are designed to be immersive experiences, inviting audiences to navigate the space and reflect on the narratives embedded within.

Each sculpture or installation serves as a focal point for contemplation, reflecting the contradictions inherent in the concept of paradise. The interplay between organic shapes and industrial materials symbolizes the relationship between nature and human intervention, highlighting how paradise is often shaped by both nurturing and destructive forces. As viewers engage with these forms, they are encouraged to consider how their own experiences and perceptions inform their understanding of this space. These elements echo the themes present in my paintings and mixed media works, emphasizing that paradise, while often idealized, carries a complexity that cannot be overlooked.

Through my sculptures and installations, I aim to foster an immersive dialogue about the Caribbean experience—one that recognizes the beauty of the landscape while acknowledging the struggles that shape it. My hope is that these works inspire reflection and connection, urging viewers to consider their role within this intricate tapestry of paradise.
